Frank Hambalek, Jr., CPA

Originally from Southern California, Frank and his wife moved to Fresno to be closer to family. Shortly after moving, he met Robert Wiebe, with whom he would eventually form Wiebe Hinton Hambalek, LLP.

Frank frequently attends performances by his daughter, a professional ballet dancer, and his son, a member of the drum line in the marching band at UCLA. He is an avid Dodgers baseball fan, which provides for a humorous rivalry between his Giants fan office neighbor and fellow partner, Kevin Hinton.

Experience

Frank Hambalek graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Cal State San Bernardino in 1990. As a new CPA, he moved straight into public accounting where he quickly worked his way to manager with a specialty in financial reporting.

Putting that experience to work, he left public accounting for a few years to work as the CFO for a large construction firm. Learning to maximize the effectiveness and efficiencies of a growing company helped Frank become an excellent manager of people and processes. Eventually, missing the challenge and reward of public accounting, Frank returned to public practice armed with a unique perspective and a well-honed expertise in construction and real estate financial reporting.

Practice Specialties

Frank specializes in high-level consulting and financial reporting work with medium- to large-sized construction and real estate companies. With his talent in managing systems and people, he has served as an outsourced CFO for many clients. Other specialties include internal fraud prevention, GAAP standards, and the new leasing standards.

Community Involvement

Frank is committed to the community, serving as President of a local school board and Treasurer of a Fresno based non-profit in addition to supporting many local annual fundraisers as a sponsor and volunteer.
